From DIY to fully customized, Glow Worm offers an option for every type of birthday bash. Simply click the “Instant Book” button at the bottom of the page, choose your date, fill out the questionnaire, and pay your deposit! We will reach out shortly after to confirm all the details and send your contract.

  • DIY Parties & Capacity

    Base price:
    $500 at Glow Worm Highlands

    Private parties include 2 hours of private play & private party room, tables & chairs, paper goods, and clean up. You may invite any combination of adults and children with a maximum of 40 guests including the host family and children. The base price does not include sales tax or automatic gratuity of 15% for our hardworking staff.

  • Decor Services

    DIY our party room or hire us to make the magic happen! Both locations include a banner stand for your themed backdrop, balloon garland, and/or birthday banner in the base rental price.

    We offer a blank slate or three different packages to customize your event. Party package information is below. Custom pricing will be provided to you based on your theme.

The Fine Print

  • Deposits are collected upon instant booking. Deposits are nonrefundable and are applied to the full price of the party. Booking with instant book and paying your deposit secures your party date and time immediately. Base price does not include sales tax or 15% automatic gratuity for our super hard working staff. Automatic gratuity applied to the base rental price only and is not applied to packages or add-ons. There is no penalty or additional fee should you decide to downgrade your package or switch to a DIY party after receiving your decor estimate.

  • If you are interested in booking the classroom or meeting space for a different type of event, please email hey@glowwormplaycafe.com.

  • Private parties are bookable online at least two weeks in advance for the 2-4pm timeslot through the end of October. Beginning November 9, 2024, parties can be booked for 10:30am-12:30pm or 3:30pm-5:30pm.

  • Private parties may only be scheduled on Saturday or Sunday.

  • Private party hosts may arrive 60 minutes prior to their reservation time to set up for their event at Glow Worm Highlands. Party hosts must exit the space promptly at the end of their reservation time to allow ample time for a room cleaning and reset for our next event or play session, or to allow our staff to perform their job duties.

  • A maximum of 40 guests are permitted for private parties. This can be any combination of kids and adults, and includes the party host family.

  • Outside food and drink are permitted for private parties. We do not allow alcoholic beverages. Cakes, cupcakes and other desserts may be ordered from our bakery, but it is not required. All food must be served in the party room.

  • The base party rental for Glow Worm Highlands includes the playroom and party room for you and your guests for two hours. Decor and food may only be set up in the party room. We do not allow decor to be taped to the walls, doorframes, or floors. Decor may not be set up in the play lounge or other areas of the building without approval. We provide a backdrop stand which party hosts may use for hanging balloons, banners and backdrops.

  • We do not allow chocolate fountains, fondue, face paint, pinatas, confetti, crinkle paper filler, shredded cellophane, glitter, or confetti-filled balloons.

  • Glow Worm has 3 restaurant-style high chairs that can be included upon request at no added cost.

  • The cafe and bakery will be open and staffed during your party.
